COURAGE

When in this life our hearts are stout,

that’s not what courage is all about.

When our arm is strong and back is straight that’s not when courage is truly great.

When friends are there at our command,
That’s not when courage makes its stand.

It’s when we’re sick, or weak, and scared,
and no one’s there to show they cared.

And when we say what we know is right and stand by it with all our might.

When all the world says black is white and to defy that statement means a fight.

We stand our ground and be not moved and hope that God will show the TRUTH.

This is courage my friend to stand by TRUTH through thick and thin.

Whether we are weak or strong
courage is that which we must ever prolong.
